Went out the Saturday morning prior, rattled the buck into 30 yards and he stood in the exact spot I couldn’t shoot. A doe came into the area and he chased her out. The following morning I switched stands to where I figured he’d be bedding.

At 7 am he trotted in front of me toward a doe. I grabbed my shed antlers and began aggressively rattling. He stopped in his tracks and sprinted to me, stopping at 23 yards. I took the shot and waited until 2:30 that afternoon before I began looking for him. I thought the shot was further back and higher than I liked so I gave him time. Come to find out he didn’t make it very far. I actually doubled lunged him. This is my biggest buck to date. This buck score right at 164.
